Associate Scientist / Scientist I

Prellis Biologics employs proprietary technology to 3D print lymph node organoids, which we are using to generate in vitro antibody libraries, camelid antibody libraries, in vitro human immunogenicity screening, and in vitro human tumor/lymph node cocultures for therapeutic screening. Prellis’ ability to print and culture healthy human tissue provides it with unique opportunities for generating and evaluating next-generation human therapeutics.

Prellis is seeking an Associate Scientist / Scientist I with a background in immunology, oncology, or cell biology to play an integral role in the development and productization of our Externalized Immune System (EXIS) Platform. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in the laboratory, has strong attention to details, and takes pride in solving problems.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will:

  • Perform hands-on laboratory activities to support the design and execution of human immune cell-based antibody discovery workflows. This includes isolating and culturing of primary immune cells, performing cell-based assays, and executing on multi-parameter flow cytometry.

  • Collaborate with biology and engineering teams to develop workflow, integrate components, and troubleshoot problems.

  • Keep detailed and organized records of experimental protocols and results. Analyze data and present at meetings.

Skills and Experience:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Immunology, Cell Biology, or related disciplines with 6+ years of relevant experience in a professional position at an industrial or academic setting.

  • Strong hands-on cell biology skills with deep experience in mammalian cell culture and standard molecular biology techniques.

  • Experience with multi-color flow cytometry a strong plus (eg, immunophenotyping, cytokine quantitation).

  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
