Scientist, Immunology / Immuno-Oncology

Prellis Biologics employs 2-photon holography to print human tissues and organs in real time. Current applications of our platform include printing of lymph node organoids, which we are using to generate in vitro human antibody libraries, camelid antibody libraries, in vitro human immunogenicity screening, human primary tumor/lymph node co-cultures for therapeutic screening, and vaccine R&D. Prellis’ ability to print and culture healthy human tissue provides it with unique opportunities for generating and screening next generation human therapeutics.

We are looking for a highly motivated Immunologist/Immuno-Oncologist to make critical contributions to our growing in vitro tumor model platform. The individual will be part of a dynamic and integrated research team focused on supporting multiple aspects of a therapeutic drug discovery and validation pipeline.

Essential Functions

In Prellis’ fast-paced, small business environment, the successful candidate will:

  • Develop and execute in vitro assays in support of 3D tumor model development

  • Possess excellent expertise in immune profiling of immune cells and components of the tumor microenvironment via multi-panel flow cytometry

  • Make strong intellectual contributions to tumor model engineering and in vitro immune process development

  • Perform high resolution imaging of the 3D tumor immune models via fluorescence and confocal microscopy

  • Execute assays for the characterization of candidate therapeutics

  • Interact effectively with scientists, engineers, and clients from different disciplines

  • Analyze and present research findings at scientific team meetings

  • Has familiarity with therapeutic development pipelines

Required Skills

  • Deep knowledge of immunology (cells, signaling, and pathways) and oncology

  • Proficiency in:

  • Primary cell isolation and culture

  • Multi-color flow cytometry and analysis

  • Fluorescence microscopy and image analysis
