Sr/Exec Director - Information Technology

Prellis Biologics employs 2-photon holography to print human tissues and organs in real time. Current applications of our platform include printing of lymph node organoids, which we are using to generate in vitro human antibody libraries, camelid antibody libraries, in vitro human immunogenicity screening, human primary tumor/lymph node co-cultures for therapeutic screening, and vaccine R&D. Prellis’ ability to print and culture healthy human tissue provides it with unique opportunities for generating and screening next generation human therapeutics.

Prellis Biologics is seeking an experienced IT architect to implement our entire IT software/hardware stack. This is a high-visibility, autonomous role of broad scope. You will select a multitude of IT systems, present conclusions, and recommendations to Executive Staff, implement all approved systems, train end users, and maintain the systems; all with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

Conventional IT support:

  • Email systems, employee hardware and software, information security, servers, and information maintenance

Product Data Management:

  • Systems for software, mechanical, and electrical design and data and revision control

  • Laboratory and Biological data warehousing (electronic notebooks, Atlassian suite, databases)

Automation laboratory workflow:

  • Databasing such as SQL or similar

  • LIMS systems

  • Critical “can’t fail” server and equipment (UPS, autonomous backup of data)

Infrastructure Build:

  • IT Systems selection, rollout, and support for all major functions in Supply Chain, Purchasing/Procurement, and Field Service as Prellis grows

  • This role is not a pure manager role, rather a mix of management and hand-on work

  • You will be in the Biology, Engineering, Chemistry, and Optics labs learning about end-customer needs and physically setting up hardware with assistance from staff

  • Your lab-based experience and close interaction with the internal end customers will enable you to make more informed selections of the IT infrastructure that you will own

Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience demonstrating increasing responsibility in an industrial environment overseeing implementation of IT systems and high levels of autonomous ownership thereof

  • Minimal BS Degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology, or related field

  • Nice-to-have: MS in information technology and/or MBA
