The spiral vascular tissue chip [EDK Hyperdrive] is a 3D printed structure that consists of a 380 micron (inner diameter) straight vascular channel surrounded by a 300 micron (inner diameter) spiraling vascular network. The straight channel and the spiraling channel have a separate inlet and outlet that are compatible with luer adapted blunt needles. The shared wall thickness the curved and straight tubes 60 microns of low density PEGDA. The flow system is designed to be secured in a bioreactor chip sold separately. The EDK Hyperdrive allows for the study of oxygen and nutrient exchange across cell-lined blood vessel walls and provides a convenient proxy for vascular barrier perfusion.
