Prellis Biologics employs proprietary technology to 3D print lymph node organoids, which we are using to generate in vitro antibody libraries, camelid antibody libraries, in vitro human immunogenicity screening, and in vitro human tumor/lymph node cocultures for therapeutic screening. Prellis’ ability to print and culture healthy human tissue provides it with unique opportunities for generating and evaluating next-generation human therapeutics.

Prellis Biologics is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our research team and help develop our next-generation antibody discovery technology. The role will be integrated with our Cell Biology team and will require background knowledge in antibody discovery/characterization platforms, particularly with respect to comparative sequence analysis and single cell sequencing technology. General knowledge of how such analysis translates to downstream antibody engineering is preferred. 

The ideal candidate will have previous hands-on experience with sequencing data and handling of large datasets, and ability to validate in silico hypothesis with in vitro assays. Bioinformatic analysis of B-cell derived antibody sequence information is a plus. Meticulous attention to detail, proficient reasoning, and problem-solving skills are cornerstones for a successful candidate.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Handling and structuring of sequence data and metadata from Illumina DNA sequencing

  • Running of custom antibody analysis software and analysis tools and performing antibody-based sequence analysis 

  • Familiarity with gene design for protein expression

  • Performing in vitro validation assays for antibody characterization

Preferred qualifications:

  • B.S. with 5+ years, MS with 2+ years, or Ph. D. in biology, computational biology, bioinformatics, or other relevant field with industry experience in data science, sequence analysis, antibody protein/antibody modeling

  • Ability to efficiently compile and statistically analyze metadata in the biological field

  • Prior experience with next generation sequencing outputs and data structure

  • Prior experience with antibody sequence analysis and antibody engineering techniques is a plus

  • Knowledge of antibody structure activity relationships (SAR) and familiarity with antibody discovery workflows for therapeutics development

  • Familiarity with a wide range of existing software tools as it relates to protein and antibody development

  • Protein modeling experience is a plus

  • Excellent attention to detail, record keeping, and passion for accuracy and precision

  • Familiarity with Python and Biopython is a plus

  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, strong in time management, and teamwork are essential

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills able to positively influence project direction and strategy

  • Self-starter and ability to multitask
