We are seeking an Optical Engineer with a strong theoretical grasp of optical multi-photon principles with the ability to confidently execute fine-alignment and optical builds. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with hands-on work in free-space optics with a strong ability to fine-align optical systems. Excellent organization and communication skills are necessary.
Desirable experience and skills include:
Team leadership and project management experience·
Prototyping, designing, testing, and maintaining optical systems
Experience with multi-photon lasers and SLM or DMD based image projection·
Experience performing fine alignments of free space optical systems·
Python experience (introductory level)
This role will be dedicated to novel optical system build and external facing product development.
Able to relocate to the Bay Area as needed
Enthusiastically willing to work in the lab 80-100% of the time
