Andrew McFarland has an academic background in Mechanical Engineering focused on MEMS. He spent roughly ten years in the semiconductor industry designing and architecting wafer-level test devices (probe cards) at FormFactor. The jump was made to Biotech, where he then spent eight years at Berkeley Lights Inc. designing and architecting automation platforms for cost-of-goods reduction via automation on multiple different system embodiments.
