Dr. Mahadik earned his PhD in chemical and biomolecular engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. His expertise and research interests involve applying principles of tissue engineering, 3D printing, bioreactors, microfluidics, stem cell biology, and biomaterial design to develop complex in vitro engineered tissues for clinical and biological applications. He has published several research articles on bone marrow niche engineering and using 3D printing for fabrication of architecturally and biologically complex tissues.
He is keen on leveraging the unique technological capabilities of Prellis to lead efforts in engineering clinically implantable tissues and ex vivo immune platforms to ultimately create a positive impact on patient life.
