Giovanna is joining Prellis Biologics from Synthego Corporation, where she applied her experience in T cell immunobiology to develop a platform for CRISPR/Cas9 efficient T and B cell genome editing. Previously, she was an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh for several years. In that role, she directed a comprehensive program focused on understanding the role of antigen presenting cells (dendritic cells and B cells) in the immunopathology of Kaposi’s sarcoma herpes virus and human Immunodeficiency virus.
