Jennifer Grinder

Research Associate I

Jen joined Prellis as a summer intern in June 2022 as a B.S./M.S. student and quickly developed an affinity for the fast pace of the lab, which she affectionately refers to as her second home. Jen has since fulfilled all requirements to earn her B.S. in Biochemistry and Biotechnology from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, where she previously worked as a teaching assistant in the Chemistry department. After just three months at Prellis, Jen was able to develop dozens of new skills under the daily guidance of industry experts, otherwise inaccessible in an academic environment. She decided to relocate to California and was later promoted to Research Associate as part of the Cell Biology team.

Jen’s research involves several components of Prellis’ Externalized Immune System (EXIS) platform including antibody discovery and tissue engineering. She is excited to collaborate on the advancement of ex-vivo and in-vitro drug discovery technology, the safe and speedy future of the modern clinical trial process for all drugs, vaccines, and gene therapies.

In her spare time, Jen enjoys watching movies with her Mom and Aunt over Zoom. In the summer, she likes to go camping, and in the winter, she works on DIY projects. She has two cats and votes in every election.
