Luke Gao was trained in mechanical engineering (BS and MS) and Bioengineering (PhD) from Penn State University with a focus on gaining understanding of leukocyte-endothelium interaction during cardiovascular inflammatory process.

Professionally, he started his career in product management and R&D of the hematology analyzer, and in-vitro diagnostics geared toward point-of-care use. He led the product development and launch for four different IVD products. Along with his career, he remains an outstanding system engineer with the belief that in a successful product development, no problem is a small problem.
